Dive Brief:
- Stewart’s Shops will open an online store on Cyber Monday that will feature company-branded merchandise, coffee, gift cards and other items for sale, according to a Tuesday announcement.
- The store will officially go live at 9 a.m. EST Nov. 28, and all products will be available for delivery anywhere in the continental U.S.
- Stewart’s new online store joins other c-store brands already offering their own branded merchandise, such as 7-Eleven, Circle K and Wawa.
Dive Insight:
Offering apparel and other merchandise isn’t anything new for c-store retailers. Circle K sells branded T-shirts, zip-up sweatshirts, polos, button downs and jackets, while Wawa offers jerseys, polos, graphic T-shirts and hoodies, sweatpants, leggings, socks, slippers and even baby gear.
This summer, 7-Eleven debuted its 7Collection merchandise shop, which features T- and long-sleeve shirts, a variety of hats, socks, fanny packs, blankets and more.
Stewart’s merchandise available through its new store will include a rhinestone tumbler, a baby bodysuit, beanies, socks and a Stewart’s ice cream car sticker.
On the coffee front, every Stewart’s variety will be available for purchase in Keurig-compatible S-cups, including its house blend, Richer Roast, decaf, blueberry, hazelnut and French vanilla flavors. Customers can also purchase 12-ounce ground coffee in select flavors.
Gift cards for purchase on the site will include Stewart’s My Money Cards and Stewart’s Gas Cards, available in $25, $50 and $100 increments.
Although the merchandise items will be sold in limited quantities dropped throughout the year, the coffee and gift cards will be available year-round, according to the announcement.
It appears, however, that Stewart’s flagship product — which comes in 60 homemade flavors — will not be available for purchase through its online store.
“Sorry, ice cream is not available for shipping at this time,” the company said in the announcement.
