Ruiz Foods, one of the largest frozen Mexico food vendors in the U.S., has appointed Jennifer Ginnetti as senior vice president of its retail business unit, the company announced this week.
Ginnetti will oversee the brand strategy for and sales execution of Ruiz’s El Monterey burritos, which is one of the most ubiquitous frozen burrito brands sold in convenience stores. Ginnetti will also oversee Ruiz’s marketing and sales teams, according to the announcement.
“Jennifer is an experienced and innovative marketing leader who understands how to build food brands in complex environments,” Kimberli Carroll, president and CEO of Ruiz, said in the announcement. “We’re eager to have her help Ruiz Foods continue on the journey of making great food and introducing innovation that delights our customers and consumers.”
Ginnetti takes over the role from Jesse Sowell, who spearheaded Ruiz’s retail business unit since late 2023, according to his LinkedIn bio. A spokesperson from Ruiz confirmed to C-Store Dive that Sowell recently left the company.
Prior to joining Ruiz, Ginnetti held several marketing leadership positions over the course of a decade with Nestlé USA, where she was most recently VP of marketing for the company’s pizza and snacking division. In this role, Ginnetti improved the product quality of Nestlé’s pizza, launched several new innovations and simplified its manufacturing processes, according to the announcement.
