Refuel Operating Company has named Lauren Del Duca director of foodservice, according to a LinkedIn post from Del Duca last week.
Del Duca has been with Refuel since September 2021, when she joined as the company’s category manager for foodservice, according to her LinkedIn profile. She was then promoted to senior category manager of foodservice, a role she held for nearly two years before taking this director position.
While Refuel is Del Duca’s first c-store employer, she previously worked for nearly four years as a sales representative and account executive with food and beverage services company Sysco. She also spent nearly five years as an assistant manager and then general manager at Five Loaves Cafe, before spending roughly three years with the restaurant’s parent company Glowfisch Hospitality.
While the post did not mention Del Duca’s first day as foodservice director, her LinkedIn bio shows she took over the role in October. Refuel did not reply by press time with additional information about the role.
Del Duca’s new role comes a few months after Refuel appointed four vice presidents to its team. These included Colleen Barrett, VP of real estate and development; Kayla Hall, VP of human resources; Weston Pate, VP of loss prevention and risk management; and David Pelton Jr., VP of facilities and environmental.
Charleston, South Carolina-based Refuel operates over 220 c-stores across South Carolina, North Carolina, Mississippi, Texas and Arkansas under the Refuel and Double Quick banners.
