- QuikTrip is planning its first foray into Indiana, the company confirmed on Friday, noting it expects to open a travel center in Daleville in the spring of 2025.
- That location is not the only Indiana site the retailer is developing, with a travel center in Battle Ground, Indiana, also currently in its early stages, according to the spokesperson.
- This is the latest in a string of expansion news for QuikTrip, which has so far this year announced openings in two states and put an additional two on its roadmap.
Dive Insight:
In addition to the upcoming Indiana stores, QuikTrip’s first Kentucky store is expected to open in 2025. The retailer’s first site in Ohio opened in June, while its debut in Nevada is expected with a store in Las Vegas expected to open by the end of the year.
There is no scheduled opening date yet for the Battle Ground store, since the site is still in the early planning stages.
“The state of Indiana presents an ideal market for our Travel Center Concept due to its high-traffic interstate and robust economy,” a QuikTrip spokesperson said in an email.
QuikTrip’s remote travel center concept has been a focus for the company for the past four years. According to the retailer’s website, it has about 135 travel centers across nearly 20 states. Most of these locations are about 8,200 square feet and feature QuikTrip’s prepared foods concept, QT Kitchens, which offers fresh food options like veggie breakfast scrambles, barbecue brisket, and chicken and pulled pork sandwiches.
Founded in 1958, Tulsa, Oklahoma-based QuikTrip operates around 1,000 convenience stores across 17 states and employs more than 31,000 people.
