Dive Insight:
QuickChek isn’t the only convenience retailer revamping its food menu this summer as c-stores rev up the competition with QSRs. Last month, Casey’s General Stores debuted thin-crust pizza across all its stores, while Rutter’s added a handful of new options — such as chicken and waffles and a donut breakfast sandwich — to its rotating menu.
Spicy chicken sub sandwiches are at the forefront of QuickChek’s refreshed menu. New options include the Spicy Chicken Club, Spicy Chicken Florentine and Spicy Southern Chicken, as well as the Spicy Chicken Snack Wrap and Spicy Chicken Tenders.
Beyond spicy chicken, QuickChek is now offering an all-day breakfast bagel sandwich in three formats: bacon, egg and cheese; sausage, egg and cheese; and pork roll, egg and cheese. The retailer also debuted an English muffin breakfast sandwich.
New fruit-based beverages on the menu include the Mango Colada, Piña Colada and Strawberry Colada. QuickChek also is launching a limited-time-only, zero-sugar frozen energy drink made with Prime Energy.
Other seasonal food and beverage options now available at QuickChek include a spicy chicken and avocado mac and cheese bowl, Kris Kringle coffee, caramel espresso drinks and various milkshakes, according to the retailer’s website.
QuickChek’s loyalty members can order for in-store pickup via its loyalty app, while the retailer also works with GrubHub, DoorDash and Uber Eats for delivery, according to its website.
Whitehouse Station, New Jersey-based QuickChek operates 164 stores across New Jersey, New York’s Hudson Valley and Long Island. QuickChek is a wholly owned subsidiary of El Dorado, Arkansas-based Murphy USA.
