Pilot Company has named Rakesh Srinivasan as senior vice president and chief data and artificial intelligence officer, the company announced on LinkedIn on Tuesday.
Srinivasan will be responsible for using data, analytics and AI to help Pilot make informed decisions to drive growth and efficiency.
“Rakesh brings a new approach to leveraging the latest in analytics and AI which will further enable our teams and business to focus on what we do best – taking care of people and innovating for tomorrow,” said Andy Lupo, Pilot’s chief technology officer, in the post.
Srinivasan has held analytics and leadership roles across a number of companies for more than a decade, according to his LinkedIn bio. These include the lead for strategy and analytics at business consulting firm Merkle, head of data and analytics with fashion platform Moda Operandi. He most recently held a number of roles across four years at pet retailer Petco, ending as the company’s chief data and analytics officer and head of consumer technology.
He also spent two years as associate director of retail analytics with delivery company Jet, then joined Walmart as director of analytics for three years after it acquired Jet in 2016.
Also on Tuesday, Eva Rigamonti posted on her LinkedIn page that she’s taking the role of Pilot’s VP of government and legal affairs.
Rigamonti joins Pilot from RaceTrac, where she served as associate general counsel and executive director of public policy for more than four years, according to her LinkedIn bio. She also spent seven years as an associate at law firm Steptoe & Johnson LLP, now Steptoe LLP.
Pilot could not confirm by press time when the two started working at the company, but Srinivasan’s LinkedIn noted he began his current role in September while Rigamonti’s LinkedIn page says she started in October.
Knoxville, Tennessee-based Pilot, which operates nearly 900 travel centers across 44 states and six Canadian provinces, has named several new executives in 2024. Notable appointments have included Lupo; Gary Hoogeveen, president of the company’s energy arm, Pilot Energy; Shannon Sturgil, SVP of alternative fuels; and Jocelyn Caldwell, VP of people and belonging.
