Jeff Bush, vice president of retail for Parkland USA, ended his two-year run with the convenience retailer on March 31, a Parkland spokesperson said in an email.
Peter Kilty, who has been Parkland’s senior vice president of special projects since 2019, has stepped in as interim vice president of retail, the spokesperson said. Kilty has held numerous executive positions with Parkland since joining the company in 2012, including senior vice president of retail operations in Canada.
According to his LinkedIn bio, Bush joined Parkland USA in July 2021 as vice president of business development. In this role, he led the division’s M&A ventures, managed and developed its real estate portfolio, oversaw its construction and development division and other duties.
Bush took on his most recent position in March 2022, where he held numerous responsibilities, including leading the company’s brand development program for Parkland’s On the Run c-stores, managing the foodservice program across the U.S. and scaling the marketing and merchandising division.
Prior to joining Parkland, Bush spent nearly a decade at Parker’s Kitchens, where he held several executive roles with the c-store retailer, including president, chief operating officer, director of operations and director of fuel management.
Parkland has experienced several executive changes over the past handful of months. In December 2022, Donna Sanker was named president of Parkland USA, succeeding Doug Haugh, who stepped down after five years. Parkland also named Ian White as president of Parkland Canada during this time. On March 2, Parkland’s Chief Operating Officer Jay Erickson passed away after a brief illness.
With 1,860 stores in its Canadian network, Calgary, Alberta-based Parkland is the largest independent fuel retailer and second-largest c-store operator in Canada. In the U.S., Parkland supplies fuel to independently owned gas stations and operates 212 c-stores under a variety of banners, including On the Run, Hart’s, Superpumper and KB Express.
