Parker’s Kitchen has named Darrin Samaha as its new vice president of marketing, the company announced on Monday.
In his role, Samaha will develop and execute the overall marketing strategy for Parker’s, using tools like promotions and customer experience optimization to boost brand awareness, loyalty and customer engagement.
Samaha joins Parkers from Yesway, where he was vice president of marketing for nine years, according to his LinkedIn bio. Before that, he spent nearly 14 years as chief creative officer and founder of digital agency Blue Coda. He also had stints as a consultant with companies like insurance firm Liberty Mutual and software developer Vignette.
Samaha is currently a member of NACS, the NACS National Advisory Group, the Association of National Advertisers and AdAge.
“Darrin Samaha is a highly talented marketing leader with a proven track record of success and a deep understanding of convenience store marketing,” said Parker’s Kitchen CEO Brandon Hofmann. “We’re excited to welcome him to our team and know that he will be instrumental in helping us expand the Parker’s Kitchen brand to new markets.”
Samaha joins Savannah, Georgia-based Parker’s amid a significant expansion drive. Parker’s said in 2023 that it planned to roughly double its footprint — from 76 stores to roughly 150 locations — by 2027.
As the retailer moves into new areas, like South Carolina and eventually Florida, the marketing department and Samaha will introduce Parker’s to prospective new customers.
