Kwik Trip has appointed company veteran Ben Wilson as director of foodservice, Wilson announced this week on LinkedIn.
Wilson’s promotion comes after a quarter century spent with the La Crosse, Wisconsin-based c-store retailer. In previous positions, he worked closely with Kwik Trip’s food safety and general operations teams, at one point managing the performance of 600 workers across 22 stores, according to his LinkedIn bio.
Representatives from Kwik Trip did not respond by press time when asked to comment on Wilson’s promotion.
Kwik Trip’s foodservice program features items across all dayparts, from fried chicken and pizza to burgers, sandwiches and salads. The c-store retailer offers foodservice specials that rotate on a regular basis, such as this month’s $6.99 whole chicken deal and $1.89 BBQ rib sandwich promotion on Tuesdays.
Kwik Trip’s food program also features numerous take home meals under the company’s Kwikery line, such as spicy chicken penne, fettuccine alfredo and beef stroganoff.
Wilson’s promotion comes during a larger investment period for Kwik Trip’s food operations. The company revealed last summer that it was building a 280,000-square-foot distribution center in DeForest, Wisconsin, that would provide cold and frozen foods, as well as produce, to over a third of Kwik Trip’s c-stores.
Kwik Trip operates about 900 convenience stores across Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota, Illinois and Michigan.
