Customer tastes and expectations keep changing, and for the past few years those tastes have turned toward delivery. Retailers of all sizes have begun bringing their food to customers, rather than expecting the customer to come to them.
Some well-known names like Circle K, Rutter’s and Rebel have either debuted or boosted their delivery infrastructure over the past several months.
And the trend doesn’t seem to be slowing down. In just the past couple weeks, New York State retailer Crosby’s Stores signed on with Vroom Delivery to add the technology to its roughly 90 stores, while Ohio-based Convenient Food Mart partnered with Lula Commerce to bring the offerings at its roughly 30 locations to third-party delivery apps.
