Dive Brief:
- Good 2 Go plans to add Mexican QSR Rusty Taco to seven locations in Colorado this year, according to a spokesperson for the restaurant. These will be Rusty Taco’s first locations in the state, according to its website.
- The convenience store chain already has two Rusty Taco locations alongside stores in Ammon, Idaho, and Herriman, Utah. The seven-store deal was initially smaller, but once the companies received positive feedback on the co-located QSR in Idaho, they expanded their plans.
- This is Rusty Taco’s first convenience store expansion partnership, the spokesperson said.

While chains like Subway and Arby’s have a long history of co-locating with convenience stores and travel stops, more QSR newcomers like Rusty Taco are also entering the space. Love’s Travel Stops and Country Stores expanded its partnership with Mediterranean eatery Naf Naf earlier this month and Gas N Wash opened the first of two planned Mickey’s Greek restaurants in March.
The expanded agreement between Good 2 Go and Rusty Taco will grow their number of c-located stores to 10. In addition to the two that are already open and the seven opening this summer, they plan to open a site in Rexburg, Idaho, at a later date.
The Colorado locations getting Rusty Taco sites include:
- 107 Laura Court Dacono, Colorado, opening in June 2024
- 2129 Barr Place Brighton, Colorado, opening in June 2024
- 4817 N. Salida St. Denver, Colorado, opening in June or July 2024
- 3991 Limelight Ave. Castle Rock, Colorado, opening in summer 2024
- 7491 Black Forest Rd. Colorado Springs, Colorado, opening in summer 2024
- 711 E. Fillmore St. Colorado Springs, Colorado, opening in summer 2024
- 6180 Timber Rail Point Fountain Colorado, opening in summer 2024
Included in these sites are three stores Good 2 Go bought last year from Maverik for an undisclosed amount.
Rusty Taco is not the only QSR customers can find in Good 2 Go stores. Some of its sites also have a Subway, Champ’s Chicken or Burger King, according to the company website.
Good 2 Go has around 80 locations across Colorado, Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, Arizona and New Mexico.
