About two weeks after leaving her executive-level role with Kum & Go, Jac Moskalik has been named vice president of culinary services and innovation for Global Partners LP, she confirmed on Wednesday.
Moskalik noted that her first day with Global Partners was Feb. 22. She did not offer other details on her new position. Representatives from Global Partners did not respond to inquiries for more details regarding Moskalik’s hiring.
She is now one of two VP-level foodservice executives at Global Partners, according to the company’s LinkedIn page. The other is Jason Cooper, vice president and head of food and beverage.
Moskalik left Kum & Go earlier this month after spending over two years as the company’s vice president of food innovation. Her departure from the Des Moines, Iowa-based c-store retailer came as new owner Maverik began rebranding some Kum & Go stores to its own banner, along with removing Kum & Go’s made-to-order foodservice and mobile ordering programs.
Before her stint with Kum & Go, Moskalik was the corporate director of fresh foods and foodservice for Core-Mark International, the largest marketer of consumer goods in North America, according to her LinkedIn bio. She held that role for nearly two years, and she was corporate director of fresh foods before that.
Moskalik has also held a variety of positions with KeHe Distributors, Brookshire Grocery Company, Associated Wholesale Grocers, Meijer and Minyard Food Stores.
The Waltham, Massachusetts-based retailer’s most notable c-store banner, Alltown Fresh, has become popular for its made-to-order foodservice program. Its food menu includes breakfast sandwiches and burritos, salads, wraps, protein bowls and smoothies.
According to the company’s website, Alltown Fresh employs multiple in-house chefs and only uses organic and locally sourced ingredients, and it prohibits ingredients like high fructose corn syrup, artificial colors, flavors, or sweeteners from being used.
Global Partners operates more than 350 convenience stores on the East Coast under brands including Alltown Fresh, XtraMart, Honey Farms and Jiffy Mart. The retailer also supplies fuel to about 1,700 locations in 12 states.
