- Gas N Wash, a convenience retailer with about 30 locations in suburban Chicago, has revamped its mobile app and loyalty program with the help of c-store app company Rovertown, according to an announcement from Rovertown.
- The new rewards program lets customers save on gas, collect cash back on in-store purchases and earn free car washes. The upgraded mobile app features access to car wash subscriptions, coupons and a racing game where users can earn points for purchases.
- Gas N Wash is one of several c-store retailers to relaunch its mobile app and rewards program alongside Rovertown this year, joining the likes of Family Express, Loop Neighborhood Market and Han-Dee Hugo’s.

Gas N Wash initially did a soft launch of both platforms in 2023 prior to the company-wide rollout this week. During that early phase, the convenience retailer decided to migrate its previous rewards program to Paytronix, whose platform integrates with Rovertown.
According to Rovertown, Gas N Wash’s new app ranks among the top 5% of apps on its platform based on average monthly active users per store. Bill Bustin, head of customer success for Rovertown, called Gas N Wash’s revamped mobile app “one of the most successful” in the convenience store industry.
“Our team is working diligently to build an app-centric and loyalty-focused culture, and we’re proud of what we’ve achieved,” Laura Krawisz, vice president of marketing for Gas N Wash, said in the announcement.
Gas N Wash’s new platforms arrive during a busy growth period for the company. Last November, Gas N Washed received an undisclosed amount of capital from a Denver-based investment firm to finance new growth. Earlier this year, the c-store retailer opened the first of two planned sites with an adjacent Mickey’s Greek-style restaurant. The second is set to open this month.
In addition to its main store banner, Tinley Park, Illinois-based Gas N Wash also operates four Food N Fuel convenience stores around the Chicago area. All of its locations are open 24/7, 365 days a year, while its express car washes operate from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
