Chevron has named several new presidents as it makes changes to its organizational structure, the company announced on Monday.
The energy company is consolidating its oil, products and gas organization into two segments: upstream, which includes divisions such as shale and tight, base assets and emerging countries, offshore, Eurasia and Australia; and downstream, midstream and chemicals, which includes operations, commercial, customer and enterprise value chain optimization.
On July 1, Clay Neff, currently president of international exploration and production, will take over as president of upstream and Bruce Niemeyer, currently president of Americas exploration and production, will become president of shale and tight.
Neff and Niemeyer assumed their current roles in October 2022 as part of a previous restructuring at Chevron.
Chevron’s technical center will also undergo some reorganization. Ryder Booth, currently vice president of the mid-continent business unit, will become VP of technology, projects and execution on July 1.
Booth replaces Balaji Krishnamurthy, currently vice president of Chevron Technical Center, who will take over as president of Chevron’s Australia division on April 1.
Mark Nelson will remain vice chairman and executive vice president of oil, products and gas and Andy Walz will continue to serve as president of the downstream, midstream and chemicals organization.
“Our new organizational structure and leadership appointments are designed to improve our operational efficiency and position Chevron for sustained growth,” said Mike Wirth, Chevron’s chairman and chief executive officer.
