BP has promoted Joseph Fumo to head of digital for BP North America, according to a LinkedIn post from Fumo.
In this position, he will “be leading digital delivery across a suite of incredible brands (including bp, Amoco, Thorntons, TA and ampm), managing strategic partnerships, and driving the growth of our retail media network,” Fumo wrote in his LinkedIn bio.
Fumo joined BP in 2006 as part of the company’s Challenger post-graduate program, providing financial analytical support to business leaders. He then spent nearly eight years working in the company’s U.S. electronic payment operations and consumer card portfolio.
In 2015, he became fuels product manager for North America, taking responsibility for the marketing strategy and ongoing management of its gasoline, diesel and alternative energy products.
Fumo was then promoted to director of consumer loyalty for the U.S. in 2021. In that role, he focused on evolving and improving consumer loyalty.
A BP spokesperson declined to comment on the move.
BP recently promoted Alyssa Callahan to head of marketing, mobility and convenience for the Americas. It also recently launched its Earnify loyalty app, which stretches across all of its convenience store brands and focuses on in-store rewards.
